Bathe your pet with baby shampoo
Most pets can be bathe with baby shampoos. Baby shampoos are just as effective, and for some pets they are even better. Most baby shampoos are tear free and wont over-dry your pet's skin. They are also generally a whole lot cheaper than the pet shampoos sold in pet stores.
Dog scent trail in winter
Its possible for a dog to lose its scent trails on snow. With that said, be extra careful during the winter months whenever you allow your dog to stray off leash, especially on snowy grounds. Be mindful of this if playing outdoors on the snow and keep your dog within viewing distance to prevent them from getting lost.
When to spay a ferret
Ferrets that are spayed too early may go into heat later. 4 months is the recommended time to spay your ferret but you may spay it after this time. It is also ok to spay a ferret after it has already gone into heat. If it is in heat for a long time you can get a vet to medically bring it out of heat.
Dogs or cats and cold temperatures
Do not take your dog or your cat out into cold temperatures if they are not completely dry. If you bathe your dog or cat during the winter months, make sure to dry them thoroughly. After a bathe, we would recommend that you allow for at least half an hour to pass before you take them outside in cold temperatures. A wet coat on a dog or cat out in very cold temperatures is equivalent to a human walking out in subzero temperatures with wet clothes on. Also be very mindful that some dog breeds are better adapted to colder temperatures than others.
Out with no waterbowl
If you find yourself without a water bowl and your dog is really thirsty, chances are that you have a clean, preferably non scented, poop bag with you. Roll down the corners of the bag until you form a bowl, then fill it with water and have skip quench his thirst.
