Points, User Levels and Pet Awards
The point system is designed to reward you for your contribution and participation. The accumulation of points allows you to advance your membership to different levels. The levels, in turn, enable users to have access to certain additional site privileges. Points are also used to determine the winners of various site awards, contests and activities. Only registered members can earn points.
Point Requirements Per level

Note: For the average active user, point totals tend to add up quickly.
How to Earn Points

Pet Awards and Badges
In addition to any contest prizes that may be won by a user, we also hand out site awards for user accomplishments. Some users will have a special designated badge attached to their user profile picture to signify their accomplishments. As an example, the winner of a "Cute Pet Contest" may have a "Top Pet - 1st" badge attached to their profile. If a user has received multiple awards, the badge with the highest honor will be attached to their profile picture but all honors and badges received will be displayed on the user's profile page.
Every week we select a special pet and award it the title "Pet of the Week." The winner is chosen based on the overall score rating achieved by the pet and its user in a particular week. A pet's score rating is influenced by the following:
- Completeness of profile
- Popularity of profile page visits
- Points Earned and User Activity Level
- Voting Points Received
